The members of Biblically Sound Artists Coalition do acknowledge and affirm the following core beliefs comprised in this covenant.
First and foremost – we do what we do for the glory of God and see our gifts and talents as a way to exult the King Jesus Christ. We see what we are doing as Ministry not just work or some form of job. As Christians we believe that all of our gifts and talents are to be used to reconcile a lost world to Christ as we serve as ministers of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:18)
We will pursue and practice holiness in our personal lives (James 1:27; 1 Peter 1:15).
We will proclaim the unashamed, unadulterated gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through the God-ordained means of music and arts (1 Peter 4:11).
We will produce quality, God-honoring, Christ-centered and Holy Spirit-filled music and art only (Ecclesiastes 9:10a; 1 Cor. 10:31).
We will promote artists, producers, musicians and artist who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ only (Romans 12:10; Galatians 6:10).
We will provide artists who desire to produce godly, Christian music and art, but lack the financial means or equipment to do so with resources necessary for their music to be promoted within the body of Christ (Galatians 6:10; 1 John 3:18).
We will protect the holiness of God by NOT partnering with secular/unsaved artists whether by collaboration or any other spiritual endeavor no matter how tempting or alluring the opportunity may be (2 Chronicles 19:2; Psalm 26:5; 2 Cor. 6:14-17).
Singing, rapping or performing over music written/produced by unsaved artists (Prov. 15:8-9).
Singing, rapping or performing over secular (i.e. profane) music/beats or instrumentals produced by unsaved artists (Prov. 15:8-9).
Singing, rapping or performing over secular (i.e. profane) music/beats or instrumentals by unsaved artists in talent shows, competitions or in ANY other public platform where the potential for God’s name could be ridiculed (1 Cor. 10:31; Rom. 2:21-24).
We will pray for the body of Christ, Christian artists and musicians to exclusively and faithfully support godly artists which will result in advancing the Kingdom of God (1 Thessalonians 5:17; cf. Matthew 11:12; Luke 19:13b).
